AIHS PTSA is required to review and approve unit bylaws at least every five years. Current bylaws can be found here. Proposed bylaws for approval in October can be found here. These bylaws are based on a template provided by Delaware PTA, with specific information determined by our members. The changes being proposed are as follows:
Article X, Section 1. Regular meetings of this local PTSA shall be held on the second Tuesday of the month, unless otherwise provided by this local PTSA, or the executive committee. This is a change from Wednesday, as many of the Wednesday meetings coinside with district school board meetings.
Article X, Section 4. One-half (1/2) of the membership of the Executive Committee shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business in any meeting of this local PTSA. This is a change from nine (9) members, as there have been numerous meetings where we do not have a quorum, thereby preventing any business being conducted.
The proposed bylaws will be voted upon at the October general meeting.
